Epic story quest walkthrough on Wed Mar 23, 2011 3:32 pm
This is the first quest from The Saga of the Endless quest chain. It can be started by talking to Asha Catari in Meridian at level 16. This is a very long quest chain and entails a variety of world events to trigger before you can complete it.
Objectives for the first parts:
* Assist Faceless Man in spying on the Endless
You find the Faceless Man at the top of the tower in Meridian
Quest objective, spy on the endless in The Iron Fortress (6996,5325) its in the yard
* Assist Rahn's legions cut down the Endless forces
You find Rahn Chuluun at Coordinates: (6087,5059) (Meridian)
Quest objective, close 8 death rifts in freemarch
* Assist Sylver study the Endless's methods
You find Sylver if you head into the room to the left in the crafting area (Meridian)
Quest objective,
you need to go to Smith's Haven (7188, 5264) and kill Endless Nightbringers to acquire an Attunement Shard. Endless Nightbringers can be found on the top floor of certain Smith's Haven buildings.
Then, you need to search for the Endless Anchors, scattered amongst Freemarch. They look like pillars and are located a the following positions.
* [6195, 5000] - Just north of Meridian
* [7251, 5143]- Just north of Smith's Haven
* [6880, 5925]- At Savage Hill
* End Jakub's rule of Freemarch
Jakubb can be find at the top tower in Iron fortress
Quest objective, Defeat Jakub the tyrant in Iron Fortress. The quest is automatically picked up when fighting Jakub and can be completed already before starting the story quest.
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Tombs of Old
Quest objective, go into Iron Tombs and:
* Defeat Alsbeth's Minions
* Find Alsbeth's Satchel
You will find it at the corridor after the first room from when you defeat 3 kings where a there is a big guy patrolling from left to right.
* Assist Uriel (Find the Communication Device)
Go to the room after the corridor (where you find the Satchel) and check to the right should be close to the idol you kill which spawns mobs (you once had a iron tomb quest to kill 4 of them)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Endless Digging
Find Kaspar inside the Deepstrike Mines (I've no memories at all from doing this one)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Long Buried
Find Uriel Chuluun in Scarlet Gorge [3654, 2752] (at the very top at the map almost at FC)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Trophies of Death
Quest objective, LOOT 5 Death Trophies from death rifts in Scarlet Gorge (drops from the bosses on stage 3 and 5)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Foul Intent
Objectives
* Search the cliffs for evidence of the plot
The quest update for The Sage of the Endless: Foul Intent happens when you get to the spot where the Endless Court Gnar Tamer is.
Coordinates are approximately (3865, 2747) If you are at the Darcia and such where you picked up the quest, jump into the river and hug the left side of the rock wall. Continue to follow the left side of the rock face all the way around the entire basin, until you reach almost the right side of the map.
The Endless Court Gnar Tamer will be found just below the extremely long (but narrow) waterfall on the right side of the cliff face.
* Kill the gnar tamer
Kill the elite (not the neutral spider mob!)
* Take the tamer's control rod and use it to lead the tamed gnar back to Uriel Chuluun
Use the rod from the elite on the neutral spider and just go back to Uriel
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Implanting the Idea
Objectives
* Gather an unblemished Gnar brain
The brain comes from the spiders right up top at riverfel (instead of entering FC continue to climb the mountain)
* Find a Control Focus within a Golden Maw factory
Golden Maw factory northwest from Scarwood Lift Base (you see it on your map)
The control focus is found in a small chest in the far right corner of the cave
* Craft, or obtain from a crafter, Pure Distillate

Follow the Gnar into FC
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Atop the Cascade
You need to complete FC and loot stuff from the bosses if Im recalling it right
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: On the Trail of Evil
Nestor's body can be found on a rock between Granite Falls and the graveyard [5011, 4852]
Looting the body will spawn a level 40 elite mob with 51k health. Even a level 50 player will have difficulties defeating it, so playing in a group with a tank is advised.
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Intercepting the Spellbook
Objectives
* Speak with the Faceless Man in Moonshade Highlands
Can be found at the neutral camp close to RD
* Search for Kira in the hills of Moonshade
Kira is located in the very northern part of the zone, (6745,1140) You might have to do some climbing, she is hiding in the bushes. Once you find her she will give you a quest to interrupt the meeting between these red endless cultist elites, each running around ~7k health. (group is advised)
* Find Kira Thanos in Scarlet Gorge
Kira Thanos is located at (6713,1123)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Chance Meetings
Just north of Kira is the meeting, right up the hill. There's 3 elites so a group is advised
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: A Father's Love
* Find Eama's grave and call her forth
* Find Stone's grave and call her forth
* Speak with Brother Damon
Graves are actually marked on the map. Ghosts are like any of the other elites, only the Brother will come before they die and despawn them for quest credit. Ghosts are spawned alone and can be easily dealt with as per any elite caster. (Instant-cast Transmogrify to interrupt spells, or slowly Mana Wrench them dry and treat like a melee only creature.)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Garden of Death
Just complete all quests in Runic Descent (If you have already done it, you will instantly complete it)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Deliver the Spellbook
Deliver the spellbook you received from earlier quest to Asha Catari in Meridian.
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Eternal Endless
Meet up with the Faceless Man in Stillmoor he is marked on the map, but is at the Zareph's Return camp.
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Perdeen
Do an expert death rift in stillmoor requires a party of 5
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: A Family Affair
* Interrogate a Maculav (Zareph return (the quest giver))
* Scan Maculav for the dark aura
* Interrogate a Newkosa (at Ruston)
* Scan Newkosa for the dark aura
* Kill Jiles Newkosa
* Interrogate a Murovic (at Pheonix Rise)
* Scan Marsinie for the dark aura (2670,2453)
* Kill Marsinie Redlov
* Return to Faceless Man in Zareph's Return
The location should all show up on the map
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Courtship
* Seek first cultist clue
Drops of a mob called Mathosian Honor Guard should be quite easy to find (remember I found many of them pretty close to the entrance)
* Seek second cultist clue
2nd Clue is found at the tower at (1141, 2890)
* Seek third cultist clue
3rd Clue comes from Lord Edraam at (1113, 2689) on top of the tower
* Return to Faceless Man in Zareph's Return
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Darkblade
Kill the Abberant Growth, he is found in the same house as the puzzle in stillmoor (you run past him while running up the tower for the puzzle)
You need a full group to kill him hell bring 10 men to make it easier
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Darkblade's Terror
Complete a death Raid rift and all its stages (in stillmoor)
Follow up quest The Saga of the Endless: Girded Against Death
Quest objectives:
* Assist Rahn in recovering Won Odego's relic
Meditate at the water: (7310,5799) its inside the waterfall
Meditate at wind: (6800,7493) (dont remember exact loc, but should be very close, its the same looking pillar as the other two)
Meditate at mountain: Its just behind the puzzle in Iron Pine Peaks
Meditate at the grave: (4848,4816) on top of the waterfall in stonefield
Next step is to kill 2xlvl 52 elites you will need a 5man group
* Assist Dacia in recovering Anan's relic
* Assist Uriel in recovering Neddra's relic
Travel to argent glade and speak with the guy at (6075,3093)
The follow up will be marked on your map and you've to kill a lvl 50 elite 2 member party recommended
* Assist Damon in recovering Nyol's artifact
Win a The Codex game
* Assist Sylver in building the WAD
Get the quest from the robot at (6540,7760) its on the cliff behind the puzzle in Shimmersand
* Return to Asha Catari in Meridian
